Yes, we know you see three monsters flying. The blue-pink on the lower right is older, wiser, and much more experienced. The blue-flamed 32 and the pinkish 16 trilobites are the new kids on the block.

And we are so proud of them …

They are our reward for all the sweat, tears, and blood. They are what we have worked so hard for: new kites purchased with the proceeds from our kite workshops and aerial shows. Every workshop, every show, every spool of thread and every pair of tired hands has brought us a little closer to this moment.

Like the one in Maribor. Or the thousand kites that flew over Velenje.

One workshop, one show, one kite at a time, inching closer and closer to our goal: making our kite team self-sufficient. No magic, no lottery wins, just a lot of hard work, a bit of madness, and the occasional miracle of balancing the books. 🙂

And we made Monica lose sleep over a rather serious bout of anxiety …

– What colour would you like them?
– Monica, you know us so well … why don’t you decide?
– Oh … I couldn’t …
– Coem on: you are the best, you know us, you know what we’d like – and we know you will chose the best!
– Oh … thank you … but that’s a lot of pressure on me …

After a couple of sleepless nights, Monica delivered. And boy, did she deliver! The kites are beautiful, their colour schemes rare, their flying postures magnificent. We couldn’t have chosen better ourselves, which is precisely why we left the choice to her in the first place.

Our fleet is growing, and with it our ability to paint smiles on children’s faces. More kites mean more colours in the sky, more people looking up, more kids discovering the magic of wind, and more opportunities to turn our slightly obsessive hobby into something that gives back.

Hell yeah! 🙂
